Do you have a physical location to shop at?

We are a Canadian-based online record shop. You will find our entire selection listed in our web store, with great low cost (in many cases, free) shipping options!

Do you have this stuff in stock?

With the exception of the odd pre-order, everything we sell is in our hands. Unless an item is temporarily out of stock, it is sitting in our squeaky clean warehouse waiting to be shipped to you. We do not use any type of fulfillment center and we aren't some kind of faceless drop shipping company. We love music and fortunately get to see and touch every piece that comes in.

Where do you ship?

See our shipping info page for full details.

How much is shipping?

See our shipping info page for full details. Our website will easily provide you with a shipping quote once you place items in your shopping cart.

My order is under $79. Can I get free shipping?

In order to be able to afford to provide free shipping we must remain firm on orders reaching the free shipping threshold of $79 (before tax) in order to qualify for this promotion. If your order is under $79 by even a few cents, we will not be able to afford to provide free shipping. We offer many inexpensive products and accessories that you could consider adding to your order to surpass the free shipping amount. In addition we also need to remain fair to those customers who have already decided to add an extra item to their order to qualify.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate requests for local pickups. All orders must be shipped out through Canada Post. We have great low cost (in many cases, free) shipping options!

Where are you located?

We are located in Welland, Ontario, Canada, but we do not have a physical location. Our selection is available online only.

What do you ship records in?

We ship LP records in strong cardboard boxes made specifically for shipping vinyl records. Your records won't bang around inside a big box. It will be a nice fit. We put a great deal of effort into making sure your records arrive as perfect as they can be. Check our Shipping page for more information.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa and Mastercard directly, as well as direct bank transfers, credit, and debit card payments through Paypal.

Is my credit card information safe with you?

Absolutely. Because we never see it! The beauty of processing payments through modern payment processors is that your details are securely transferred through SSL encryption. Even we don't see your credit card info. They simply confirm the payment for us through their secure servers and you get your products!

Is my personal data safe with you?

Definitely! It's one of our top priorities. See our Privacy Page for more info.

How do you store your records?

We store our records vertically to prevent warping and ring wear in a temperature and humidity controlled environment free of smoke or other pollutants. That is also the way we recommend you store your precious tunes.

What colour is the vinyl record I want to buy?

We list the colour of the vinyl on every product page whether we know it or not. If the colour is advertised we will state the colour in the listing. If it is standard black we'll tell you that too. If there is no information supplied, we can't open the records so we put "Unlisted." Records of unknown colour are 95% likely to be black, but we don't want to tell you if we aren't exactly sure. If you ever get a record that is listed as black and turns out to be some funky colour, consider it a bonus! The different colours are usually a collectability thing and have little (if anything) to do with sound. If you are a person who prefers their vinyl on the turntable as opposed to the shelf (like us) the colour will probably matter very little to you. Please note that in the case of coloured or clear records, variations in the colour are in no way considered a defect and are sometimes present by design. The colour will vary throughout production.

What is the weight of this record I want to buy?

We list the vinyl weight on each page. If it is 180g, you'll see that. If it isn't 180g and there is no data on the actual weight, you'll usually see "Standard." If there is no data and we aren't sure, you may see "Unlisted." Because we only sell new, sealed and unplayed records, we can't open them up to be sure. If we have the data we'll pass it on to you.

Do you carry CDs?

We are introducing some CDs in 2016. If there is a specific CD you are looking for let us know and we'll see if we can get it in for you.

Do you sell new or used vinyl?

We only sell brand new vinyl straight from the manufacturer, label or distributor.

What packaging condition can I expect?

Our records come from either a distributor, or directly from a record label. They are all brand new and unplayed. Most records come sealed in shrink wrap, although there are some that come from the factory in a resealable sleeve, or a standard sleeve with an open top. The cardboard sleeves of most of our stock are superb but keep in mind that you may encounter the odd slight bump on a corner, or a minor crease in the jacket. This type of cosmetic issue only affects the cardboard packaging and does not affect playability of the record. It is important to keep in mind that any record will have been shipped all across North America (and sometimes overseas) before making its final trip back across North America to your turntable. So the occasional corner imperfection or small crease is not out of the ordinary and may very well have come out of the factory that way. Any time we encounter a record with packaging we would consider to be of below-average quality, we do our best to identify it with the label 'Packaging Flaw' in the item's title and description, and if possible provide a photo of the flaw.

Do you charge tax?

Government regulations dictate that we must charge tax to orders in Canada. When you add products to your shopping cart, you can easily check the tax and shipping amounts by clicking on the link marked “Estimate Shipping and Tax,” at the bottom of your cart. USA and international orders are exempt from tax and can receive a shipping quote using the method above. Our GST/HST registration number is 828958561RT0001

Why do you love vinyl?

As huge music fans ourselves, we appreciate the depth and quality of sound provided by a Vinyl LP. The clarity of the bass, the lack of digital distortion and the beautiful splash of the cymbals are music to our ears. Many vinyl pressings are being done with different mixes or mastering than their CD/iTunes counterparts, resulting, in some cases, a different listening experience.

From a physical standpoint, a record offers you something for your money. A beautiful package with large graphics, a lyric insert sheet and full colour sleeves are some things you may see. Also, many releases are now including the CD or a coupon for a free digital download so you get everything you need in one package!

Do you ship internationally (Outside of Canada)?

In addition to Canada, we also ship limited size orders to the USA. A shipping quote for your destination can be found by adding the products to your cart and then entering your country and postal/zip code. It is advised that you check with your local authorities before ordering to find out what import/taxes/customs fees may be requested upon delivery. These fees are the responsibility of the importer/buyer and are charged at the discretion of your country's government. We no longer ship products outside of Canad or the USA.

I have a collection of vinyl I would like to sell. Will you guys purchase it?

We are a record retailer selling only new products purchased directly from record labels and distributors so unfortunately we're not the right place for that. If you are looking to sell an entire collection you may consider advertising it on a site like Kijiji in hopes of attracting a collector. If you want to break it up and sell it individually, you may consider trying a site like ebay. Unfortunately we can no longer respond to requests of this nature.
